Oh My, Olive Box!

Have you heard about Olive Box?
I stumbled upon this beautiful box of sweetness completely by accident, but sometimes accidents turn out to be incredibly worth it, don't you agree?

I am fortunate enough to have found Olive Box just as they were accepting orders for their first shipment.  After reading a bit of information about them on their blog, I signed up for the October Olive Box.  Their tagline: "Monthly subscription service for paper lovers."

Me.

I love all things paper, and pretty, and unique.

Enter Olive Box into my home.

I was so excited to wake up Saturday morning to find this lovely box on my doorstep.  Of course I dove right in.

Ok, before I show you what was in the box, let me back up and explain just a bit.

You don't know what you're going to get.  It's a complete surprise.  What you do know is that you will be receiving some very special stuff from some very special vendors who take time and put a lot of care into their product.  It's a great opportunity to discover new vendors, and it's always nice to get a pretty little package at your door.

I was sucked in immediately.  This cute little olive-colored envelope contained a letter explaining the contents of my package and letting me know how special they think I am.  :)  On the left in the picture above, you also see a sticker that says "you are loved".

Awesome.

I'm so completely hooked.  The package itself is beautiful, but the contents...well, they just rock my socks.

Let's take a deeper look, shall we?

Who doesn't love confetti?  But seriously, is this not the most gorgeous confetti ever?  It's A Tiny Celebration by The Great Lakes Goods.  I just want to run around the house flinging this stuff in the air and prance and sing.  Yep.  Makes me happy.  :)

I got a letterpress card from Parrott Design Studio that says 'hooray for you'.  This picture does not do it justice.  It's so pretty.  I hate to say it, but I don't want to send it to anyone.  I want to keep it for myself.  Maybe I'll give it to my husband with a sweet note inside so it'll stay in my house forever....  Or I guess I could go to their website and buy more beautiful letterpress cards...just a thought.

I am excited and anxious about this book all at the same time.  My Beautiful Life, My Autobiography in Drawings - great concept, but I can't draw very well.  But I'm going to give it a shot because of this book!  It's so cool, seriously.  Each page, edged in silver leaf, has a different topic, and the rest of the page is blank.  You draw pictures based on the topic, and then you end up with a book of your own hand-drawn images depicting your life.

Some are difficult and very thought-provoking, like "my first heartbreak", while others are just silly, like "what I'm eating for lunch".  As a die-hard Project Life-er, this is another way of documenting life.  How cool will it be for my daughter to pull out this book one day in the far away future, sit down with her children, and flip through page after page of my drawings that tell my life story?

I want to encourage you to visit Olive Box.  I'm definitely going to be a regular customer.  I'm in love with the concept of Olive Box - I get mail, and who doesn't love getting mail?!  And it's not just regular mail - it's a gorgeous care package of goodness!  It's full of items I probably would have never known about otherwise.
