Kickoff to Summer Camp - Day 2

It's Day 2 of our Summer Camp Week!  Today, I'll show you a quick and easy craft that makes it easy for kids to keep in touch while away.

First, determine how many letters your child may want to write.  I know she'll be busy with other things, so Marley decided to write 3 letters - me, her dad, and my mom.

I cut 3 pieces of scrapbook paper into 10" squares.

Then, I placed each sheet at an angle along the 3" mark and scored each sheet to fold all 4 corners in.

Kinda hard to see, but take my word for it - there are 4 score lines.  :)

Fold the left and right corners in first along the scored lines.

Then fold the bottom up, and the top down to make an envelope.

You can leave the inside blank, or add lines if you'd like.  I used a lined stamp to give Marley room to write inside each letter.

After you stamp them, fold them back up and use washi tape to seal them.  Since washi tape is easily removable, Marley can open each one to write in, then re-seal them to mail them.

Finally, I addressed each one.  Now all that's left to do is add postage, and Marley has ready-made letters from camp to send to her loved ones!

Come back tomorrow for more Summer Camp goodness!
