Kickoff to Summer Camp - Day 1

I'm dedicating this entire week to Summer Camp fun and festivities!!!  My daughter Marley is leaving for her first away camp on Sunday, and I wanted to make sure it was a great experience.  She's been a little apprehensive about going away for a week, not knowing anyone ahead of time, but I've done my best to assure her that it will be a really fantastic time.

To encourage her to meet new friends, and stay in touch, we created a super cute Autograph Book and her own personal Calling Cards.

If you saw my post last week, I made mini travel albums for my high school girlfriends.  Marley got inspired and used the same format to make her autograph book.

Marley used a combination of scrapbook paper, washi tape, Project Life journal cards, and other embellishments to create a one-of-a-kind book she can use to collect autographs.  We also purchased a couple of disposable cameras for her, and I told her to take pictures of each person from whom she gets an address.  Then, she can insert those pictures into her album so she can remember names and faces.

We also wanted to make it easy for her to give her addresses to new friends, too.  We made Calling Cards using Project Life journal cards and clear labels with her name and address printed on them.

Now she's ready to meet new friends and stay in touch!

Be sure to come back tomorrow for more Summer Camp fun!
