Our BYOP Party has come and gone, and we had a blast! I'll let the pictures do most of the talking...
First, you remember the invitations:
And the banner...
And the decorations...
I planned a menu to include the following:
- Chili
- Cheese and sausage dip
- Mummy dogs (hot dogs wrapped in breadsticks)
- Dirt cake
- Caramel apples
- Cupcakes
- M&M's and candy corn
Just a tip - don't buy this caramel for your apples:
It tastes fine, but nothing sticks to it. I had to wet the caramel apples to get sprinkles to stick. Boo. We still made it work:
I picked 10 pretty red delicious apples:
Wrapped them in caramel:
Popped them in the oven for a few minutes, then wet them and decorated them:
After they were dry, I wrapped them in plastic wrap and tied them up with a cute little Halloween ribbon:
Marley helped me make dirt cake, too - love this stuff!
And cupcakes...
Marley made name cards for all the food, giving it "creepy" names :)
We hung our Halloween banner over the table, set everything up, and we were ready to party!
The kids made a spider craft out of egg cartons and pipe cleaners...
And what's a Bring Your Own Pumpkin Party without pumpkin carving!
The kids had fun and so did the parents. Good food, good friends, and a good time - now I can kick my feet up and relax til Halloween!
