Labor Day Weekend Recap

I hope this finds everyone well!  What a fantastic Labor Day Weekend I had with friends and family!  It's so nice to have that extra day off of work.  We had a very busy weekend but it was so much fun.  What did you do?

We went to a dear friends wedding Saturday.

Mark rarely dresses in anything other than jeans and a t-shirt, so it was nice to see him cleaned up...and in a pink shirt, no less!

And my sweet Marley looked as beautiful as ever :)

After the wedding, we headed to the Atlanta Motor Speedway.  We spend every Labor Day weekend hanging out on Turn 2 in the infield with our friends, and this year was no different.

Our buddy Jeff owns the parking space, and he refurbished this school bus - inside is a kitchen, bathroom, 4 bunk beds, and a master bedroom.  There's even a table and plenty of seating.

We got home really late Sunday night, even though NASCAR moved the race to today because of the weather.  Tropical storm Lee scared the drivers off the track, but didn't scare us away!  We stayed and partied.  Monday, we slept LATE!  And we stayed in our PJ's all day - didn't need to go anywhere because Lee showed up again.  We had tornado sirens going off all day, so Marley set up the half-bath downstairs as tornado central!

She was prepared every time those sirens went off.  Thankfully, we were fine.  However, there were a few tornadoes that touched down only a few miles from us and did a lot of damage, so keep those people in your prayers.  Other than Lee trying to storm Atlanta, we had a super great weekend!  The only good thing that Lee brought with him was cooler temperatures - it's not even 70 degrees today!  WOO HOO!  Sure beats the 95+ temps we've had all summer.

I'd love to hear what you guys did with your extra day.  Leave a comment and give me the scoop!

See you tomorrow!
